This piece of history was unearthed recently by Orrapoora's October 2002 Grandmother of the Month.

Mrs Gwenda Douglas found this postcard while doing some “cleaning up”. The date on the postcard is 1907, so presumably the photo was taken a little before that. It was sent to Miss Clara (Heloise Ellen) Dutton, Mrs Douglas’ mother’s sister, when she was a cookery teacher in Broken Hill, from a friend and fellow “graduate” from cooking teachers’ school, teaching at the Goulburn Technical College.
